Taking into account market dynamics and trends and the needs of our partners, since January 2018 our company has launched a new service: intermodal transport.

Intermodal transport is preferred worldwide because it offers environmental benefits such as reduced CO2, particulate matter and N2O emissions, as well as reduced diesel consumption in these times of rapidly depleting natural resources.

Intermodal transport has many significant advantages: reduced noise pollution, predictability of delivery times, elimination of traffic, more flexible planning processes, fixed departure times; higher service quality standards, and easier planning and support for large-scale projects.

This service was tested for several months in 2017 and the result was positive. Thus, we decided to organise a dedicated/own train using our own facilities (45ft containers, 45ft swap bodies and standard and mega P400 semi-trailers).

Our rail connections are established between Cologne (DE) <> Curtici (RO) and Stuttgart (DE) <> Oradea (RO), with daily departures in both directions.

The main countries covered are Germany (western part), the Netherlands, Belgium and France (central and northern part).

With a growing fleet year after year, mostly EURO 6, we ensure that our customers’ goods are delivered safely and efficiently wherever they need to go. Our trucks are constantly on the move, synchronized by GPS technology, so we can coordinate the loading and unloading of goods in the shortest possible time.

The full load service consists of the customer using an entire truck to transport goods directly to a single consignee. Full load transports maximise the efficiency of transport solutions for ROUTIER customers, as the route may be determined and optimized.

Another great advantage of this type of transport is the minimization of repeated handling of goods (goods are loaded at the shipper and unloaded directly at the consignee), which provides customers with an extremely fast and safe service.

Domestic shipments and shipments to neighbouring countries can be completed within 24-48 hours. For more distant destinations in Europe we offer delivery within 2 to 7 days to all destinations. The operations team knows the exact location and status of each consignment in transit, and the integrated IT system allows advance planning of each vehicle’s itinerary to minimise transit time, to use the fleet as efficiently as possible and to have drivers available who can carry out the transport in maximum safety, regardless of the type of goods being transported.

The LTL-groupage service is suitable for situations where ROUTIER customers are transporting goods that do not take up all the space in a truck. Starting from small packages to pallets or larger volumes, ROUTIER always proposes the optimal transport solution, optimizing budgets.

Urgent transports

ROUTIER offers modern freight transport solutions, designed to guarantee the safe and fast transport of goods.

Express transports can be carried out nationally and in Europe with:
Vans: 3,5 t (1,5 t payload), volume 12-22 m3, 5-7 Euro pallets.
Trucks: 7,5 t (3 t payload), volume 33-40 m3, 15-18 Euro pallets.

2 drivers/truck can be provided for this service.

Sea transport

When costs are important and time is not an issue, we offer maritime solutions through ROUTIER partners.
Based on a close relationship with the most experienced container lines, own vessels with weekly departures to and from ports around the world, we can meet any shipping demand. Whether you have a full container load (FCL), a less than container load (LCL) or non-containerized loads, we can provide the sea containers you need for your cargo shipping needs.

Air freight

When time and speed matter most, airfreight solutions might be the right choice.

Supported by our partner operators, you can choose from standard connections to fixed delivery systems. We guarantee optimal space allocation, competitive prices and constant monitoring of the goods, right up to their destination.
